About Us

CMHM India is an approved ministry under the CBCI Commission for Healthcare, based in Bengaluru, India. It serves as the Indian chapter of the Association of Catholic Mental Health Ministers.

The leadership team comprises priests, religious, professionals, and laypeople, working together to fulfill our mission.

Members of CMHM India are encouraged to live a life of service and presence, embodying the spirit of the Good Samaritan as mentioned in the Gospel of Luke.

Our Mission

Through three pillars-education, accompaniment, and advocacy-CMHM India helps Catholic parishes and dioceses set up mental health ministries. These pillars shape and drive the ministry's mission in India.

Monthly Day of Prayer for Mental Health

The Association of Catholic Mental Health Ministers (CMHM) partners with the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network and Click to Pray to offer a Monthly Day of Prayer for Mental Health. Each 2nd Monday of the month, the CMHM offers prayers and a blog post connected to the Pope's monthly prayer intention.

Become a Partner

There is no cost to join. The Association offers three levels of membership.

Our Active Partners are Catholics who are actively building mental health ministries and doing outreach in their parishes.

Our Associate Partners are individuals who are not Catholic, but are involved with mental health ministry, or who are Catholic but cannot commit to ministry at this time, but who want to remain connected.

Our Contributing Partners support us financially and are kept updated on our work. You can choose the level that's right for you on our sign-up page!
